Terms & Conditions

IMPORTANT: A copy of these will be emailed with your Booking Form which must be signed & returned, with the retainer fee, before the event, to indicate that you have read and understood the below terms and conditions.




1. The retainer fee is required to secure your booking. It is non-refundable but can be rescheduled to another date. In exceptional circumstances, such as a pandemic, this may be refunded at the artist's discretion.


2. The quoted balance is due upon Artist’s arrival, (unless paid in full prior to the event or other arrangements have been made).


3. Client agrees to pay the full quoted amount even if Client uses Artist(s) for less time than booked for.


4. Should the Artist become unwell, the retainer will be refunded, and every effort will be made to find a replacement.


5. Overtime: Any time beyond the time booked will cost £30 per ½ hour, per Artist.


6. It is the client’s responsibility to notify attendees that face painting is available at their event, to enable parents to decide whether they wish their children to be painted.


7. If the Client requests that Artist(s) paint both children and adults, the Artist(s) will paint all the children first (unless prior arrangements are made between the client and Artist).


8. Limitations on Artwork: Artist(s) will only paint on the face or exposed parts of arms. Artists will not paint any design or wording that is obscene, offensive or defies good taste. Artists will not paint any designs they are not comfortable with. This is at the artist's discretion.


9. Please ensure the artist has a safe area to work in, with adequate cover available in case of high wind, cold or rainy conditions, or shade in case of hot weather.


10. Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extremely adverse working conditions and the client fails to remedy the situation


i) After it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to destructive, violent, or extremely inappropriate behaviour of a child or adult; illegal activities; dangerous conditions.


11. Artists are not liable for allergic reactions to paints. Children with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have the Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party or event. For safety reasons, artists will not paint on children under 3 years of age, for children over 2, small arm designs will be offered IF they are able to sit still and want to be painted. For hygiene reasons, artists will not paint anyone who is or appears to be sick or suffering from: cold sores; conjunctivitis; any infectious skin condition; eczema or open wounds. Please ensure children’s faces are clean before painting.


12. Artists will use reasonable care but are not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets or guests.


13. Artists WILL NOT supervise children. Their behaviour and safety are the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility. Artists cannot see other children and what they are doing while painting.


14. The information provided on this form is for the purposes of this booking only. This information is not shared or sold to any third parties. You will only receive further contact if you agree below to receive emails from us that we deem relevant or helpful to you based on this booking. If you agree there is likely to be very little contact from us, we will never inundate you with marketing


15. Glittery Rainbow Cat Face Painting may use a line manager or assistant at their discretion at the event. A line manager is mostly responsible for assisting guests with choosing their designs and informing guests about our services. An assistant may be responsible for additional face painting or entertainment to help provide the best service possible art your event.


16. Please book artists accordingly. On average, the artist can paint approximately 8-10 faces per hour. Glitter tattoos take about 5 minutes per tattoo. Depending on the design complexity, designs range from 2 to 10 minutes per face, with the average 5-6 minutes. We may not be able to work additional hours if another event is booked after your event. If the artist stays additional hours at your event, payment is due in full at the end of the event.

17. All paints and glitters used are FDA approved and are cosmetic grade supplies, all glitters are biodegradable. As with any products, a small portion of people may develop a sensitivity to an ingredient in the supplies. Persons who believe they may have a sensitivity to any of our products may request a patch test 30 minutes prior to receiving services. Artists will use reasonable care but are not responsible for damage to clothing or property. If clothing comes into contact with our paints, treat with a stain remover and wash in cold water, as hot water may set in stains. To remove face paints from skin, apply a mild soap directly to the skin adding a very small amount of water. Work into a lather so that all the paint has become grey/ brown. Once the paint has been saturated, rinse with clear, warm water. Glitter tattoos last between 3-7 days depending on their location. They are waterproof. Pat dry with a towel after bathing to avoid removing glitter. To remove the tattoo use rubbing alcohol, baby wipes and baby oil help break down the glue for easier removal.

NB: Your booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the booking form and the retainer fee.


The Artist provided will hold a PLI of at least £10,000,000 and will observe the Code of Practice health and hygiene protocols as set out by FACE The International Face & Body Painting Association.

Please be assured that any data we have from you is only held for reasons regarding this report and we do not share this information with anyone other than the artist concerned or other parties on a need-to-know basis. We promise never to sell your information to any third party. The data is kept on a password-secure home computer. This data is kept in case of future occurrences and can be removed from our records at your request at any time in the future.
