1. A deposit is required to secure your booking. It is non-refundable, but can be rescheduled to another date. In exceptional circumstances, this may be refunded at the artist's discretion.

2. The remaining balance can either be paid in full prior to the event, or upon the Artist’s arrival at the event (unless other arrangements have been made).

​

3. You agree to pay the full quoted amount, even if you use the Artist for less time than booked for.

​

4. Should the Artist become unwell, your deposit will be refunded to you, and every effort will be made to find a replacement for your event.

​

5. Overtime: Any overtime beyond the time booked will cost an additional £30 per ½ hour, due in full after the event. 

​

6. It is your responsibility to notify attendees that face painting is available at your event, to enable parents to decide whether they wish their children to be painted.

​

7. If you request that the Artist paint both children and adults, the Artist will paint all the children first (unless prior arrangements are made between the client and Artist).

​

8. Limitations on Artwork: The Artist will only paint on the face or exposed parts of arms. The Artist will not paint any design or wording that is obscene, offensive, or defies good taste. The Artist will not paint any designs they are not comfortable with. This is at the Artist's discretion.

9. Please ensure the Artist has a safe area to work in, with adequate cover available in case of high wind, cold or rainy conditions, or shade in case of hot weather.

10. The Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extremely adverse working conditions and the client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention.

 

i) Adverse conditions included but not limited to destructive, violent, or extremely inappropriate behaviour of a child or adult; illegal activities; and dangerous conditions.

 

11. The Artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. Children with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have the Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party or event. For safety reasons, the Artist will not paint on children under 3 years of age. For children over the age of 2, small arm designs can be offered IF they are able to sit still and want to be painted.

12. For hygiene reasons, the Artist will not paint anyone who is or appears to be sick or suffering from: cold sores; conjunctivitis; any infectious skin condition; eczema or open wounds. Please ensure children’s faces are clean before painting.

​

13. The Artist will use reasonable care but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. If clothing comes into contact with our paints, treat with a stain remover and wash in cold water, as hot water may set in stains. As the client, you will agree to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to the Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets or guests.

14. The Artist WILL NOT supervise children. Their behaviour and safety are your and/or the Parents’ responsibility. The Artist cannot see or monitor other children and what they are doing while painting.

​

15. Glittery Rainbow Cat Face Painting may choose to work with a line manager or assistant at their discretion at the event. A line manager is mostly responsible for assisting guests with choosing their designs and informing guests about facepainting services. An assistant may be responsible for additional face painting or entertainment to help provide the best service possible at your event.

16. On average, an Artist can paint approximately 8-10 faces per hour. Glitter tattoos take about 5 minutes per tattoo. Depending on the design complexity, designs range from 2 to 10 minutes per face, with the average 5-6 minutes. We may not be able to work additional hours if another event is booked after your event. 


17. All paints and glitters used are FDA-approved and are cosmetic-grade supplies. All glitters are biodegradable. As with any products, a small portion of people may develop a sensitivity to an ingredient in the supplies. Persons who believe they may have a sensitivity to any of our products may request a patch test 30 minutes prior to receiving services. To remove face paints from skin, apply a mild soap directly to the skin, adding a very small amount of water. Work into a lather so that all the paint has become grey/ brown. Once the paint has been saturated, rinse with clear, warm water. Glitter tattoos last between 3-7 days, depending on their location. They are waterproof. Pat dry with a towel after bathing to avoid removing glitter. To remove the tattoo use rubbing alcohol, baby wipes, and baby oil help break down the glue for easier removal

18) The Artist holds a Public Liability Insurance of at least £10,000,000 and will observe the Code of Practice health and hygiene protocols as set out by FACE (The International Face & Body Painting Association.

GDPR (Data Protection). Please be assured that any data we have from you is only held for reasons regarding this report and we do not share this information with anyone other than the artist concerned or other parties on a need-to-know basis. We promise never to sell your information to any third party. The data is kept on a password-secure home computer. This data is kept in case of future occurrences and can be removed from our records at your request at any time in the future.
